My in laws love my 2 year old and 9 month old sons and always have them over on the weekends while my husband and I run errands. I have never felt uncomfortable leaving the boys there and they have so much fun. My sister in law recently moved back in and is an active drug (heroin, cocaine) user. She has been using drugs in the house and her best friend was just arrested for conspiracy to commit murder. I am uneasy with this because of the dangers that could now be present in that home. I know my in laws would never intentionally let something happen to the boys but something could happen by accident. We told his parents that we do not want to drop the boys off there anymore but they can still see them. They are in such denial about what is going on in their home that I can not feel comfortable. My mother in law is really upset with this but I don’t know how to get them to understand our side of it. Am I wrong for worrying about my sons’ safety? How do I help them understand?
