I own a trailer but not the land. My husband and I are buying a house and the land owner where the trailer is says we have to ask permission to rent out our home. Does he have to right to dictate who lives in our home? (Assuming they are descent people)??? Please help.

yes he does
Yes he does, because they’ll be on his land.
Yes he has the right.Being an x landlord myself I have answered this queston several times.Landlords aren’t doing this to be a holes or on power trips, there just concerned about their property and also by law,{at least in Illinois}, they have to have a record of who is living on their property for emergency purpose’s.Just cooperate and things will be alright. Remember the both of you are in this together.
He sure does. Your trailer is only a chattel on his land. I’d keep the relationship cordial, I don’t think I would want to hear him tell me I have to move my trailer.
Sorry to tell you this but the owner has every right to rent the land and they must pass his credit checks and background checks prior to someone moving in. Just like a mobile home park.
Yes, he does. If you want to move the trailer and rent it someone other then on his land he would have no say in the matter.
He absolutely does.
He owns the land, not you. Therefore has has to deal with your tenants day to day activities/lifestyles…not you.
Until you own both, it is 100% legal.
However, I would recommend that you sell the trailer…trailers depreciate in value…they are not good things to hang onto..
You bet he has that right. YOU have the right to determine who lives in the trailer, but NOT on the land you don’t own. If you owned the entire situation, it would be your call. As long as someone else owns the land, they have control over who gets to stay on said lands.
